The living connection is an integrated system developed for on-the-go family members, using the computer and several ways of interactive devices throughout the house. The final video scenario was the outcome of defining the target market, creating personas, hosting workshops of the targeted age groups, and process development.
The brief of this project asked each design team to consider the ways of enhancing a visitor's travel throughout the annual Salone del Mobile, a Design Week in Milan. The concept of "Mapkins" and "Digital Direction" were presented. The former, involving no technology, has square grids of the Salone map printed on napkins that are stacked in each exhibition. The later presents a device and rental service which implement tags that interact with each other and display windows.

During the ItaliaDesign field school, our Rome project required us to propose an intervention that reintegrated an excavation site with its counterpart, the Crypta Balbi Museum across the Street. The key was to integreate the idea of palimpsest - the many urban layers that make up the city of Rome.
RE:ACT is a conceptual exhibition for the design company Zanotta, using the timeless ‘SACCO’ chair. And from its luxurious affordances, present spatial and interpersonal interactions in an innovative way. People in the exhibition are able to discover how they engage and accommodate in a space by human experiences and the limitlessness of personal choices. But are they aware that those choices influence the interpersonal connection and possibility of another’s choice?

The SQUISITO garbage can is a conceptual idea of an expandable garbage can. With the function of a growing garbage can already set, the notion of making it a creature gave the garbage can an expression that longed for more food. And the more food it’s given, the taller it grows.
In addition to this, we modeled a retail store for ALESSI which had to reflect the company's values and mix in interactions that would enhance the customer experience. This project was selected to be at the annual Simon Fraser University Employer Open House, where students could showcase their projects to the public and potential employers.
Two years later, a product was blogged about on a popular gadget site which is almost identical to our Squisito product.

Working as a team of 3, we acted as external consultants to a company for a class project. The team had to analyze the company's workflow, culture, and space to optimize their communication methods. Our team spent time holding workshops, interviews, and focus groups to gain a sense of their work environments. This allowed us to propose several floor plan options, which included the use of an undeveloped area on the floor.

DEJINE PAGES
The goal of the magazine is to showcase the many designers of Simon Fraser University. From undergrads to alumni, the magazine has no boundaries in submissions.
This acts as a perfect representation and promotional tool for the University to send out to employers about coop positions. Instead of just reading about what opportunities there are, what better was there than to show real projects that came out of the SFU courses.

Dominic grew up in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. He graduated from Simon Fraser University majoring in Interaction Design and minoring in Communication studies.
The projects he has encountered taught him how to project manage and visually present ideas. More importantly, studying in an Interaction Design program helped develop a “design” way of thinking in learning to discern good ideas and bad ideas in the neverending process of design.
Dominic always seeks to achieve professional results from making best of what’s available, ensuring everything communicates. Because although everything is design, what really matters is the idea.
Nevertheless you might remember Dominic as the guy who drinks hot water, carries a wrestling belt to places, takes jumping pictures, quietly observes the way people behave and interact, is ridiculously organized, and still collects superhero action figures.
